María José has developed her professional career in the areas of corporate law and energy.

 

In the energy sector, she has advised clients on due diligence processes for the acquisition and development of generation, transmission and BESS projects, as well as on the negotiation of power supply agreements, open access applications, and the analysis of regulatory matters affecting the industry.

 

In the corporate area, she has taken part in M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, and the general advisory of domestic and foreign companies.

 

Prior to joining PRB, she worked at Larraín y Asociados Abogados and at Rodríguez Rosende Abogados, in the corporate law and energy practices.

 

Between 2019 and 2020 she was a teaching assistant for the Commercial Law series and, subsequently, between 2021 and 2023, for the Women's Leadership in Law and Advertising Law courses, all at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
